We had a great 2019 Mediterranean Retina Meeting VIII in Dubrovnik, Croatia, August 8-11, 2019, including great scientific presentations, cases and panel discussions from the Vitreo-Retinal Society - India, EVRS, VBS, and Controversies in Vitreoretinal Surgery - Tell it like it is!

The opening reception on the rooftop terrace at the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace overlooking the sea was very nice but definitely just the prelude to the annual dinner at Vala Beach out on the rocks adjacent to the cliffs of Dubrovnik with breathtaking views from right on the sea! The farewell reception overlooking old town from the Excelsior terrace was the finale with views to die for.
